PEI (Polyethylenimine) Cellulose Plates

Analyzing Exchange-Active Ionic Groups

PEI (polyethylenimine) cellulose platesPEI cellulose plates for ion exchange chromatography are based on a polyethylenimine-modified cellulose compound, which acts as a strongly basic anion exchanger. This makes them the best TLC plates for analyzing substances with exchange-active ionic groups, such as amino acids, peptides, nucleotides and nucleosides. Our PEI cellulose plates are available with a special fluorescence indicator that is stimulated to intense blue emission by long-wave UV light of 366 nm, and by short-wave UV light of 254 nm. For optimal performance, PEI cellulose plates should be stored at 0 to 4˚C, and discarded upon turning brown.

Features and Benefits

  • Optimized for TLC of substances with exchange-active ionic groups
  • Suitable for analysis of amino acids, peptides, nucleotides and nucleosides
  • Available with special fluorescence indicator
