Kieselguhr and Mixed Layer Plates

Kieselguhr is a natural diatomaceous earth that can be used for the separation of polar or moderately polar compounds. Mixed layer plates for thin-layer chromatography (TLC) are based on a combination of MilliporeSigma’s classical silica gel 60 and kieselguhr. This composition provides ideal chromatographic conditions for special applications, such as the separation of inorganic ions, herbicides, or steroids.
