DescriptionA cell-permeable, selective blocker of the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 that does not affect IκB degradation (IC50 = 7.1 µM in LPS-stimulated macrophages RAW 264.7 stably transfected with pNF-κB-SEAP-NPT). Shown to suppress DNA-binding of NF-κB and downregulate LPS-inducible expression of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, iNOS, and COX-2. Also prevents LPS-induced apoptotic chromatin condensation.
