Milliflex® filter units for use with the Milliflex® system

The ready-to-use, sterile Milliflex® filter units are part of our Milliflex® system, a complete solution for bioburden testing (microbial limit testing) throughout pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing processes. They combine a funnel and a gridded membrane filter in a single device.

Complete range of long-life media
We maintain a complete range of agar-based media in ready-to-use cassettes, which are manufactured and QC tested according to pharmaceutical industry requirements. Due to their long shelf life, larger lots can be purchased to reduce the number of incoming QC tests.

More reliable results
A sealed integral membrane filter eliminates the need for membrane manipulation and handling. This minimizes a major source of contamination and thus improves bioburden testing reliability. The sealed membrane prevents the bypass phenomenon often found with other filtration systems.

Faster filtration
The Milliflex® membrane filter possesses almost twice the surface area of standard 47 mm membranes.

Unique, user-friendly break-off funnel
After filtration, the funnel can be detached from the membrane-containing part of the filter unit without needing to use any tools.

Consistent recoveries
The convex shape of the membrane after filtration demonstrates the integrity of the membrane and prevents air bubbles from being trapped when placed on culture media.

Easy to maintain system
The Milliflex® filter units are disposable and the Milliflex® vacuum filtration system can be easily sanitized.
