This year's Technical User Forum will be chaired by Kevin Brower Head of Purification Development at Sanofi™, and will cover a variety of topics, including:
Industry trends
- Next Generation Bioprocessing: An evolution from unit optimization towards intensified, connected or fully continuous downstream processes
- Operational efficiency through process intensification and its regulatory considerations
- Challenges and roadblocks to the adoption and implementation of new technologies
Process development and optimization
- High throughput screening: resin selection, optimization case studies, challenges and needs
- Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) intensification and connected processing approaches
- Impacts of flocculation on downstream with a special focus on chromatography (e.g., lifetime, purification efficiency, etc.)
- Viral clearance studies on connected downstream processes
- How to ensure robust impurity removal throughout the downstream processes
Characterization of purification processes
- Process characterization including the use of DoE tools
- mAb charge variant and glyco-variant separation
- Scale-up and scale-down of downstream manufacturing processes
- Process productivity and cost analysis case studies
- Process monitoring and control of critical process parameters
The meeting will include presentations, discussions and round tables. If you have a topic you’d like to share, please submit it here:
