Transmitted Light Method for the Analysis of Turbid and Slightly Colored Water

MQuant® color disk comparator system for medium to high concentrations is based on the light transmittance principle plus sample blank. Therefore it is particularly suited for analysing industrial water, cooling and boiler water, turbid or colored water, e.g. wastewater.

The tests of this system evaluate the color reaction according to the transmitted light method. This allows the analysis of turbid and slightly colored water samples without any further sample preparation. The ten-stage color disk of the comparator is made of lightfast, and thus extremely durable, slides of plastic. Thanks to this robustness the tests and color disk comparator can also easily be used in industrial areas and in humid and even wet environments.
