LiChrospher® PAH HPLC Columns

Request Information

Indispensable in PAH Trace Analysis

LiChrospher® PAH is a highly selective and efficient HPLC column, which is specially designed for the trace analysis of PAH. The column achieves excellent, high-resolution gradient separations of 16 PAH according to EPA 610 and EPA 550 plus benzo(e)pyrene and perylene. Besides this, LiChrospher PAH is also ideal for the isocratic separation of 6 PAH according to the German DIN method.

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) are produced by pyrolisis or incomplete combustion of organic substances. Their main sources are exhaust fumes of private or industrial furnaces, car exhausts, and tobacco smoke. Because some PAH are carcinogenic, their determination is of great importance. LiChrospher PAH delivers rapid, reliable separations to facilitate your analysis and ensure secure results.

Features and Benefits

  • High-resolution separations of 16 PAH acc. to EPA 610 and 550
  • Baseline separation at 25°C or 20°C by gradient HPLC, esp. benzo(e)pyrene, benzo(b)fluoranthene and perylene
  • Also ideal for isocratic separation of 6 PAH acc. to German DIN method
  • Programmed fluorescence detection
  • First eluting PAH (naphthalene) at approx. 10 minutes
  • Separation within 30 minutes
  • Simple eluents and gradients
