Purospher® STAR RP-8 Endcapped (5 µm) HPLC Columns

Purospher® STAR RP-8 endcapped HPLC columns are less hydrophobic than Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, hence analytes typically elute faster on the C8 phase. This results in enhanced selectivity for positional isomers, and excellent peak symmetry for strongly basic and polar compounds.
Purospher® STAR RP-8 endcapped is based on high-purity silica with virtually perfect surface coverage. This ensures the highest efficiency in terms of the number of theoretical plates, and outstanding stability from pH 1.5 to 10.5. With trace metal levels below 5 ppm in total, Purospher® STAR RP-8 endcapped columns deliver highly symmetrical peaks for acidic, basic and chelating compounds. The columns are available in a large selection of hardware formats to suit various requirements.
