Recombinant, human phosphoinositide 3-kinase p110γ fused at the N-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Largely expressed in haematopoietic cells, the γ isoform is activated by G-protein subunits, resulting in dimerization of the p110 catalytic and p101 regulatory subunit. Phosphorylates both lipid and protein substrates. The active kinase is useful for the study of the regulation of activity and inhibitor screening.
