Recombinant, human phosphoinositide 3-kinase composed of the active catalytic p110β subunit and the regulatory p85 α subunit and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. PI 3-Kβ is a ubiquitously expressed enzyme that is activated by insulin signaling or GPCR. The β isoform has been shown to regulate both cell growth and apoptotic responses. The active complex is useful for the study of activity regulation and inhibitor screening. MW: 83500 (p85α) and 124300 (p110β).
