Recombinant, human IGFBP-3 expressed in NSO cells. Contains the mature IGFBP-3 fused to the signal peptide of CD33 and expressed in the mouse myeloma cell line, NSO. IGFBP-3 is a negative regulator of cell growth and proliferation and can be induced by TNF-α and p53. IGFBP-3 may induce apoptosis through the serine phosphorylation of Bcl-2, which results in Bcl-2 inactivation.
