G 418 Sulfate, Cell Culture Tested

Thousands of current scientific citations specify the use of Calbiochem G 418 Sulfate selection agent.

The best way to maintain the integrity of your precious clonal cultures that incorporate eukaryotic expression vectors, carrying the bacterial neor/kanr genes, is to use the most efficient selective agents available. To satisfy these requirements, selective agents must be highly potent and highly pure in nature.

High potency ≥730 μg/mg, means lower concentrations are required to maintain selective pressure (around 25% less than lower potency alternatives). This enables selection of healthier colonies that go through the cell cycle faster and saves you money.

Primary rat Schwann cells were transiently transfected with constructs encoding Xpress-tagged schwannomin N-terimnal variant lacking paxillin binding domain 1, and were maintained in standard medium plus 0.5 mg/ml G418 (Calbiochem).
