Recombinant, human Aurora B kinase consisting of mino acids 2-344 fused at the N-terminus to a GST-His•Tag® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. Aurora B is a mitotic kinase that phosphorylates histone H3 and CenpA. Upregulation of Aurora B is reported in pancreatic and prostate cancers. The active kinase is useful in the study of Aurora B regulation and for inhibitor screening.
