High Performance Silica Plates (HPTLC)
These HPTLC plates deliver fast and quantitative analysis of complex samples for manual or automated use. EMD’s HPTLC silica plates work three times faster than conventional TLC plates – and they’re more sensitive. This makes our HPTLC plates perfect for advanced separations.
HPTLC and TLC plates use the same type of silica gel 60. But in HPTLC particle sizes range between 4-8 μm, and the mean particle size measures 5-6 μm. This yields a smoother surface and a higher separation power than conventional TLC plates. Highly compact sample bands (thanks to lower band diffusion) and an thin 200 µm layer translate into greatly enhanced sensitivity.
