Solvents for Gas Chromatography
OmniSolv® and OmniSolv® HR-GC Solvents
All OmniSolv solvents are tested by gas chromatography for purity. Most of these solvents assay at >99.8% by area percent. Practically all of the solvents are tested for suitability in gas chromatography analyses. Many OmniSolv solvents are produced and specifically tested to assure they exceed purity criteria outlined in the compendia of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for Contract Laboratory Procedures, Solid Waste Methods for Pesticides and other priority pollutants, Water and Waste Water Methods.
To be certain solvents are base-line clean, they are first concentrated 1,000:1 mL and the concentrate tested by gas chromatography using GC/FID, GC/ECD or GC/MS depending on the application requirements. Key parameters of these solvents are also subject to Statistical Quality Control (SQC) parameters to be certain customers receive reliable solvents.
