The foodproof^® Real Time PCR pathogen detection kits operate on two different probe based detection systems-

• Hybridization probes
• Hydrolysis / TaqMan probes

The two different probe systems allow maximum flexibility and customer choice with respect to instrument platform. The hybridization probes are compatible with Roche Light Cycler systems (LC 1,x., 2.0 and LC 480). The hydrolysis or TaqMan^® probes operate on most TaqMan^® Real Time thermo cyclers such as Stratagene (MX3005P), Applied Biosystems (ABI 7500), Eppendorf (realplex) and BioRad (iCycler) to name a few.

All foodproof^® Real Time PCR pathogen detection kits are self-contained. The kits contain all necessary reagents, controls, enzymes, buffers, detailed instruction manual and thermo cycle programming manual to make handling easy, rapid and accurate.

In addition the foodproof^® Real Time PCR pathogen detection kits boast a unique, internal safety feature that is Uracil-N-Glycosylase enzyme. This safety measure eliminates contamination with carry over DNA from previous PCR reactions thereby ensuring confident results every time!
