          Description
          OverviewRecombinant, mouse fibroblast growth factor (FGF) acidic, consisting of amino acids 16-155 and expressed in E. coli, with an N-terminal Met. FGF acidic stimulates proliferation of all cells of mesodermal origin and many cells of ectodermal, neuroectodermal, and endodermal origin. Intracellular FGF acidic inhibits p53 activity and proapoptotic signaling, thereby enabling it to function as a survival factor.
