          ELISA (see comments)
DescriptionPurified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~35 kDa monomeric tryptase subunits (reducing conditions).
BackgroundTryptase is a ~135 kDa serine protease stored in mast cell granules. It is a tetrameric enzyme composed of 4 noncovalently bound subunits. Tryptase activates G-protein-coupled receptors through proteolysis, thus amplifying histamine release.
