Background InformationSWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily D member 3 (UniProt Q6STE5; also known as 60 kDa BRG-1/Brm-associated factor subunit C, BAF60C, BRG1-associated factor 60C, Chromatin remodeling complex BAF60C subunit, Mammalian chromatin remodeling complex BRG1-associated factor 60C, SWI/SNF complex 60 kDa subunit C, Swp73-like protein) is a nucleus protein encoded by the SMARCD3 or BAF60C gene (Entrez Gene ID 6604) in human. SMACD3/BAF60C protein belongs to the SWI/SNF family of helicases and ATPases that regulate transcriptions by modifying the chromatin structure around the target genes. Cat. No. ABE1313, Anti-SMARCD3 is an immunogen affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody with confirmed reactivity toward human and murine species. The immunogen peptide sequence is present in the C-terminal half of both isoform 1 (BAF60C2) and isoform 2 (BAF60C1), and is 100% conserved among human, murine, rat, feline, equine, and bovine species.
