MilliporeSigma has entered into an OEM License Agreement with Aveva to incorporate the company’s Wonderware® supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) platform into MilliporeSigma’s bioprocessing systems portfolio. The upgrade of software functionality will allow biomanufacturers to gather and report batch data with greater accuracy and efficiency and will lay the foundation for MilliporeSigma’s advanced software and automation platform of the future.
The new SCADA platform will serve as a flexible interface between systems and operators, providing MilliporeSigma customers worldwide with full supervisory control and data management capabilities. Robustness in the form of scalability and redundancy will allow customers to add and reconfigure components as needed. The platform will provide a user-friendly interface for remote supervisory control and data analysis in bioprocessing systems such as chromatography, bioreactors, and tangential flow systems to meet the future integration needs of biomanufacturers.
From process development to facility design and construction, MilliporeSigma pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in biomanufacturing programs and helps deliver the future of medicine, faster.
