Description
Overview
Recognizes the ~42-44 kDa ERK1 and ERK2 proteins phosphorylated at Thr202 and Tyr204 in vanadate-treated A431 cells. Supplied with a control lysate.
Catalogue Number
442706
Brand Family
Calbiochem®
Synonyms
Anti-MAPK1/2, Activated
References
Product Information
Form
Lyophilized
Formulation
100 µg antibody lyophilized from 2X PBS, sucrose, polyethylene glycol (PEG) and 150 µl lyophilized control lysate from 1 x 10⁶ vanadate-treated A431 cells.
Antibody requires phosphorylation at both the Thr and Tyr site for recognition. Does not recognize non-phosphorylated MAP kinase 1/2. Does not cross-react with SAPK 1 or SAPK2 proteins. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

Special Instructions
Reconstitute antibody with 1 ml dH₂O. Following reconstitution refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage or aliquot and freeze (-70°C) for long-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at 4°C or for up to 1 year at -70°C. Thaw aliquots at 37°C. Reconstitute the positive control cell lysate with 200 µl dH₂O. Following complete solubilization add 200 µl 2X SDS-PAGE sample buffer and incubate at 90°C for 5 min. Aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Avoid freeze/thaw cycles of reconstituted antibody and control lysate.
